The Language of Flowers Autumn Equniox Mini Retreat
The Language of Flowers: An Autumn Equinox Mini Retreat in Plant Connection + Flower Essence Making
Where: Seven Spring Retreat Center, tucked into the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains (125 Sweet Hollow Way, Maryville, TN, 37803, just 45 minutes from Knoxville)
When: Sunday, September 20th 12-4pm
Cost: $111 (early bird pricing $88 available through August 20th)
Group size: Limited to 10 participants, reserve your spot in advance. Any level from complete beginners to seasoned herbalists are welcome as well as folks who have participated in this workshop before. The framework will be similar, but we will connect with a different flower and allow the seasonal shift to guide the experience.
What to bring and keep in mind: Journal, pen, water bottle, and comfortable clothing for being outdoors. Herbal tea and thoughtfully curated snacks will be provided, but make sure to eat lunch before you arrive. There is some light uphill walking involved in getting around this beautiful retreat space.
This half-day autumn equinox retreat is a space to slow down, honor the seasonal transition, settle your nervous system, and reconnect with yourself, the natural world, and others. Through gentle hypnosis, journaling, embodied intuition practices, sound bath, and time in nature, you’ll attune to the subtle language of plants.
Together, we’ll create a solar infusion flower essence with care and respect for the plant. Just like any relationship rooted in integrity, making an essence begins with presence, reciprocity, deep listening, and non-judgment. You’ll learn and practice how to listen to the flower with your 5 senses and beyond in order to understand the plant’s unique wisdom. You’ll leave with a handmade flower essence, a simple framework to create your own moving forward, and a hypnosis recording to support ongoing plant connection.
A flower essence, not to be confused with an essential oil, is a vibrational preparation, generally taken by mouth, that captures a plant’s energetic imprint in water, traditionally used to support emotional balance, integrate soul lessons, and expand awareness. Its effects often ripple outward, creating meaningful shifts in how you experience life.
This gentle herbal medicine is especially supportive for highly sensitives, intuitives, and empaths, folks navigating stress or life transitions, or anyone curious about connecting more deeply with plants.
September 23rd is technically the Equniox this year, but we will honor it on the 20th and lean into themes of balance, remembering our innate belonging in nature, and getting curious about what is shifting within us as the seasons transition from Summer to Fall.
Participants will leave with:
• A handmade flower essence
• A simple framework + worksheet for creating essences on their own
• Tools for listening to the subtle communication of plants
• A deepened trust in their intuition + connection to the season
• A hypnosis recording to continue plant connection
