september 2025 collective tarot

This month I pulled one tarot card, The Devil, and one card from the Pythia Botanica Oracle deck, Moonflower. What a powerful duet it is!

“Ignorance is bliss” they say, but at what cost?

This September The Devil card encourages us to become very conscious of what we consent to. Bringing awareness to how we spend our time and energy could be transformative this month.

Is there anything siphoning your energy or time that you’d like to stop consenting to? Is there a relationship dynamic with a person, social media, a substance, a habit, a thought pattern, a part of yourself, etcetera that you’d like to reassess? How can you reclaim your sovereignty in the different dynamics in your life? Are there certain cycles you find yourself in over and over again that drain you? Do you want to keep consenting to them, or is there some way you could alter the cycle? This could look like complete acceptance, setting a boundary, shifting your perspective, walking away, or something else. Only you know the answer.

Conscious consent opens the doors of liberation for ourselves and for others. We can’t change the past, but we can commit to a more aligned future by being intentional in the present.

If you were to free up some space/energy/time in your life, how could you then reorganize your capacity and consent to dynamics that feel truly supportive?

Moonflower, also known as datura, is a trusted ally as we explore shadow work. Her sweet aroma invites you into a sacred trance, where the conscious mind can slip into the background and you can access what lives underneath the surface.

She blooms at night, unafraid of the dark because she knows how well resourced she is. She understands that she is the glowing moon in her own night sky, she holds her own lantern as she walks down the path, gathering up all scattered or forgotten parts of herself.

Moonflowers don't have individual petals, the bloom is a trumpet spiral of wholeness. All is one. Like a funnel, her flower draws you into the heart of the matter, with love and trust. This month moonflower encourages us to embark on a journey to bless what lingers in our shadows and resource them in order to set them free.

The more we can love, accept and integrate these aspects of ourselves, the more capacity we have to show up with self awareness, emotional regulation and authenticity for ourselves and the people in our lives. And, isn’t that the gift of a lifetime.
