ceremonial cacao pop up

  • Amulet 103 W Jackson Ave Knoxville, TN (map)

Hi friends, I will be hosting a Cacao Pop-Up at Amulet in Knoxville’s Old City on the evening of Sunday, February 22nd. This is a casual event where you can feel free to drop in anytime between 4 and 7pm for a cup of ceremonial cacao. This very special cacao is sourced from Jaguar Siembra, a regenerative cacao project supporting indigenous communities in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta on the Caribbean coast of Colombia. I am so happy to support this project and to share this cacao with you!

You’re invited to taste this high vibration cacao and come into your heartspace. You’ll have the option to pull an oracle card, engage with journal prompts, draw, connect with others, or quietly be. Bring a journal and pen if you’d like to engage with prompts.

The price of the event is $10 per cup of cacao, while supplies last. Stay as long or as little as you like, no need to RSVP. I look forward to connecting with you there!

Why ceremonial cacao?

Cacao is a superfood, rich in magnesium, iron, and antioxidant content that support overall wellbeing. And, minimally processed cacao beans, means higher nutrient content. The theobromine in cacao supports cardiovascular health, initiating a boost of vitality without strain on the nervous system. Cacao triggers the release of neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, and anandamide that support mood regulation, memory, and focus.

On an emotional/spiritual level it is highly revered as a heart opener, known for its ability to connect you to your heartspace, intuition, and creativity.

“Ceremonial” cacao means it is grown, processed, prepared, served and revered with intention and presence at each step along the way. This high vibration cacao is much more than a cup of hot chocolate, it’s a gentle plant teacher that invites us to slow down, sense into our heartspace, and return home to ourselves.

Why Jaguar Siembra?

This cacao is unique because it is ethically sourced from indigenous communities in La Sierra de Santa Marta in Colombia. A region that is known as “the heart of the world”. This cacao is hand harvested, minimally processed, and supports reforestation and regenerative land stewardship. Processed with love and intention, you’ll sense the sacred in this beautiful cacao.

For me, this region along the Caribbean coast has a special significance on a personal level. Over the last several years I have spent a few months at a time getting to know this particular part of the world, and the lovely people of this region. I am truly honored to share this cacao with you and support their project.

Jaguar Siembra’s mission: “We use the power of the arts, storytelling and education to co-grow food forests alongside indigenous Colombian families. We share food for thought, preserving our ecosystems and cultural heritage”. Learn more on their website here!

Why the pop up?

Big Bright Circle’s mission is to help folks come home to themselves, to discover their own innate magic, and feel connected to the natural rhythms of the Earth that reverberate through each of us. I believe that the more we can open ourselves up to the magic of our own humanity, we open up pathways to transform, grow, evolve, and access inner peace.

I am offering this community event as an opportunity and invitation to slow down, arrive in presence, and connect to your heartspace. Whether you choose to sip quietly and enjoy on your own or chat with others, this community event is a reminder that none of us are moving through the flows of life alone. I want to create experiences where we can slow down and hold ourselves and others in presence.
