who is hypnosis for?
When I tell people I'm a Clinical Hypnotist, they've usually heard of hypnosis, but they don't know much about it. Most people think of hypnosis for smoking cessation, weight loss, or phobias. But hypnosis can support so much more than that, truly anything involves the way you think, feel, respond, or experience yourself.
Our subconscious minds develop beliefs and protective strategies early in life to help us navigate the world. Every coping mechanism made sense at one point. Some continue to support us, but many no longer do. The challenge is that these patterns, beliefs, and programs often keep running the show long after the circumstances that created them have changed.
Hypnosis creates an opening where we can align our subconscious minds with the life we want to live now.
Here are a few of the issues I've supported clients through in recent months:
• Scarcity patterns rooted in childhood experiences.
• Reconnecting with an inherent sense of worth and finding purpose.
• Exploring money blocks and manifesting aligned opportunities/clients.
• Preparing emotionally and mentally for childbirth.
• Releasing shame and resistance to pleasure in order to cultivate freedom of sensual expression.
• Nervous system regulation and learning to respond instead of react.
• Attuning to safety in the body and learning to discern between perceived threats and genuine ones.
• Moving beyond procrastination and becoming someone who naturally follows through.
• Releasing fear of judgment and criticism while building self confidence.
• Releasing people pleasing tendencies, strengthening self trust, and maintaining supportive boundaries.
These challenges may seem unrelated, but beneath them are common protective patterns. Those patterns can sound like:
“I'm not enough”. “I have to work/perform/act a certain way in order to receive or be deserving of love, care, security, etcetera”.
“I'm too much”. “I will be judged, criticized, or pushed out if I am fully myself”. “It’s not safe for me to be perceived”.
“I am not capable”. “I don't know how to trust myself”. “Others know better than me”.
“It's not safe for me to trust, have needs, express myself, etcetera”. “I am not safe/secure in the world”.
Hypnosis gives us the opportunity to slow down and become curious rather than critical. In one on one sessions I use a variety of clinical hypnosis techniques to:
Build safety.
Get curious about the protective pattern.
Understand the wisdom behind it.
Integrate what it was trying to accomplish.
Update it based on present-day reality.
Choose intentionally what supports who you're becoming.
When your subconscious mind begins supporting the life you want to live and the person you're becoming, new possibilities naturally begin to emerge.
