april collective tarot
Less: The World (reversed)
It may feel like your world or the world at large is being turned upside down this month. Maybe it feels confusing, disorienting, or unsettling. Either way, things are being shaken up this month, on a micro and macro scale.
You could fall into fear and adopt the chaos around you as your own internal landscape, but who is that actually serving?
We might consider this “shaken up” feeling as an epic reorganizing. A free fall that helps us loosen up our grip on some old patterning.
This card calls for less doomsday vibes. I’m not suggesting spiritual bypassing or compliance (it’s important to feel your feelings, show up, do the work), I’m suggesting zooming all the way into your body and mind and rediscovering the power that lives within you. Then let yourself be guided from within. Ask yourself how you can align with your values and focus on the little things that you do indeed have control over. You might start by taking a very conscious look at your thoughts, beliefs, and perspectives on humanity.
And remember, the world keeps on turning.
More: The Hierophant
The Hierophant calls for finding ways to connect to the truths that ring true for you.
Get back to the teachings of your ancestors, the land, and the wise mystics instead of allowing misguided actors to take up precious real estate in your mind. Quiet external noise, stay rooted in what you know to be true in your heart. Yes, this takes courage and integrity, but will likely bring an internal clarity. When you know who you are and you know where you stand, you can connect to your unique purpose in the collective and expand your understanding of what’s going on in and around you.
Know your truth, align your actions with your truth, let it lead your life this month (and always). Live very closely to your values.
Lead by example and experience yourself becoming a magnet for what you want for yourself and the world. The sacred secrets are in your DNA, wipe the sleepies our of your eyes and wake up to your own power.
Radical acceptance, conscious connections, supportive communities, heart-led sustainable systems, and shifts in the wider collective are possible.
Guidance/Wisdom: 3 of Cups (reversed)
3 of Cups reversed suggests that a detox might be in order…
Cleanse your mind of old thought patterns and beliefs that serve no one’s greatest good. Resist letting outside thoughts that do not align with your TRUTH to infiltrate your precious subconscious mind. The beliefs you hold in your subconscious dictate the reality you perceive.
(Side note, in my Clinical Hypnosis training I’ve been learning all about the subconscious. Did you know that your subconscious mind is programmed primarily between the ages of 0-7!? So, you can probably imagine that there are at least a few belief systems that you might like to rewire… the flippin’ cool thing is that neuroplasticity is real and we can create new neural pathways, we can replace old belief systems and thought patterns with new truths, we can adopt alternate ways of being, we can change our reality).
I have this image of someone unknowingly about to take a sip of poison from a golden chalice, but the best friend slaps the chalice out of their hands right before it touches their lips. Your thoughts can either be used as a healing elixir or a toxic poison. Think before you take a sip of the metaphorical poison, think before you consent to certain beliefs, thoughts, and perspectives.
See if you can become more and more aware of the stories you tell yourself. Consent to your thoughts and words with presence. And if you notice yourself repeating garbage that doesn’t ring true to you in your heart, be your own best friend and kindly slap that toxic thought or word out of the way!
This practice can also be done within your trusted community, let’s all help one another become aware of the phrases we repeat and the stories we tell ourselves. Are they true? Would you let your best friend take a sip of that phrase, belief, thought?
Let this gorgeous oak be a reminder that when we are rooted deeply into the earth, we can grow into pillars of integrity, we can be the wisdom keepers for generations to come.
This oak was lovingly named The Mother Tree by the good humans that steward the piece of land she lives on in Greenback, TN :)
