Language of the Body

Language of the Body

A workshop for tuning inward and learning tools to regulate your nervous system.

Sunday, November 15th from 1-3pm at Breezeway Yoga Studio (4830 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN, 37919)

This is an invitation to slow down, settle into presence, and remember your own rhythm.

The holiday season is a joyous time, but can tend to bring us out of our center.

Getting out of our routines and dealing with challenging social dynamics or financial stress can leave us feeling overextended, overwhelmed, untethered, or caught in old childhood patterns.

Join us to slow down and learn practical techniques that you can carry into the holiday season. Walk away feeling supported, centered, and empowered.

Through this trauma-informed group experience we invite you to cultivate a sense of calm, regulate your nervous system, and come home to yourself.

Themes:

learning to expand body awareness as a grounding tool, imagination, play, self trust, belonging, support, safety, care, receiving, acceptance

What the experience will look like:

We’ll begin by settling in with tea and creating a cozy, supportive space.

We’ll introduce and practice embodiment tools and breathwork to move stress out of the body and come back to a place of center and grounding.

We’ll reflect though journaling and a creative practice called body mapping that helps us tune into sensations in the body and increase interoception.

From there, you’ll be guided through a group hypnosis and sound healing session that includes calming visualization, therapeutic suggestions, subconscious reprogramming and aromatherapy.

Each person will have their own unique inner experience. Afterward, you’ll have time to reflect, journal, and, if you choose, share insights or connect within the circle before we close.

What’s included…

  • A safe, welcoming space + nourishing tea

  • Gentle nervous system support + overall relaxation

  • Somatic movement and gentle breathwork practices

  • Journaling + body mapping through creative exploration
